What is the role of the "Friends"?
The Friends of the Regional Knowledge Resource Kit Yahoo! Group is supporting and assisting the Knowledge Leaders and the development and implementation of Information and Knowledge Strategies across Australia. You will find in this group:
- a discussion forum where you can share your experiences and seek help;
- examples of completed Information and Knowledge Strategies; and
- access to the materials from the Knowledge Leaders training.
[edit]
Who can join?
Anyone who is involved with NRM and has an interest in information management or knowledge management is invited to apply to join the group.
[edit]
How do I apply to join?
- Go to the Friends of the Regional Knowledge Resource Kit Yahoo! Group website http://au.groups.yahoo.com/group/Friends_of_the_RKRK/.
- Click on the Join this Group! button on the right hand side of the page.
- Sign up for a Yahoo! ID or enter your Yahoo! ID and password.
- When asked to send a comment to the Group Owner/Moderator, please give your name, position and regional NRM body or other NRM organisation. Please provide enough verifiable details to enable the Owner/Moderators to clearly identify you. If the details you give are vague or cannot be verified, the Owner/Moderators may think you are a spammer and refuse your application (unfortunately spammers have sought to join the Group).
- When you are registering, or at any time later, you can select if you want to receive individual emails from the Group or a daily digest or no emails at all (although we would not recommend no emails as communication is a primary objective of the Group)
- Yahoo! Groups will send a verification email to your nominated email account. Please allow up to 48 hours for the Group moderator to action your registration. If you do not receive the email, your organisation's web server may be blocking Yahoo! emails. If you suspect this is occurring talk to your IT support.
