Australian Government departments and agencies use a range of new technologies for information provision, service delivery and administration. These technologies provide opportunities for government to better manage knowledge within and between organisations to improve outcomes.
A key role of the Australian Government Information Management Office (AGIMO), Department of Finance and Deregulation is to identify and promote 'Better Practice'. The Knowledge Management Better Practice Checklist has been created to help agencies enhance their use of data, information and knowledge to improve productivity and service delivery. This checklist suggests a number of issues that may be considered when managing knowledge in agencies.
