Purpose
The fifth stage is the implementation stage, where the projects are carried out and the small actions are embedded into the day-to-day activities. Every three months the region monitors and evaluates how things are going, and decides new actions for the three months ahead.

Preparation
- Arrange a workshop venue
- Invite the staff and board of your region, encouraging as many of them as possible to participate
- Source the materials listed in the "How to" guides for this stage.

Agenda
- Write up your Regional Knowledge Strategy.
- You may also like to submit your Regional Knowledge Strategy for formal approval or endorsement by your Board.
- Then every three months:
- Review progress on implementing the projects and small actions (2.5 hours).
- Decide new actions for the next three months (1 hour).

Next steps
- Continue to review progress and decide new actions every three months.
- After 3-5 years it is likely that the circumstances of your region will have changed significantly, for example a considerable change in staff. At this time you may wish to repeat the whole Regional Knowledge Strategy process.
